Provide a single methodological approach to the integration of enterprise information systems into a single information space.
Business Reasons and Client Needs
As part of the IT integration process, the enterprise faced the issue of developing a unified (for all information systems) approach to their integration into a single information space. The Enterprise has a large number of information systems that differ as platforms and manufacturers (providers of support services), as well as life spans and opportunities for managing corporate master-data and integration tools. The introduction of new systems in the framework of the existing application integration scheme created serious problems with the amount of effort and interaction between application support service providers. There was no single service for managing the corporate master-data.
A unified methodological approach to the implementation of integration of applications into a single information space of the Enterprise on the basis of the Common Information Model of the enterprise (CIM) was developed. The CIM was submitted to the enterprise in the database format on the ACCESS 7 platform. This methodical approach also includes the concept of a corporate regulatory reference system that includes the structure of directories, the organizational structure of their support.
